Excused absences for religious instruction cannot equal more than thirty-six (36) hours in a single school year. Following each absence, you should provide the superintendent with a written statement confirming that your child did in fact attend the instruction, as well as the date and time of the instruction.

How many days off is 95 attendance?

Ten whole days of school has been missed if your child has 95% attendance. Twenty whole days of school has been missed if a pupils attendance is 90%. By the time a pupil is persistently absent (85% attendance) they have missed 6 weeks or half a term of schooling.
